Good Luck no doubt!
Spoke to the DarLek and she said the same thing "Chok Dee" (good luck). I expect I can get a more detailed answer later, but knowing her, she will say, "One day Muma (her) no have money, can dig money up." and then she will roll on the ground laughing!
I am used to her humour now!
Yesterday she came to me and asked if I would accept Sin Sot for Jing-Joe,
Given Jing-Joe is 1 year and 1 month I said maybe she is too young to get married. DarLek thumped me for being silly, then thumped me again because, well, maybe I just deserve it!
She said, "Mother (her in this case) always want Baht, up to boy, if he want to pay, you say ok, if he not want too pay, you say ok - ok?"
"OK!" I said.
For good measure she thumped me again, and then asked me if I noticed her hair.
In case many of you had not noticed Thai girls, unlike blondes and brunettes in the west, have a limited number of colours they can dye their hair.
Red (the only colour it goes when they bleach it), or Black (when they realize how ugly the red is).
DarLek currently has VERY bad red hair, she thinks it's the same as old ladies hair, as opposed to girls from Cowboy red hair.
Now what the difference in colour is I can't tell you. In Australia old ladies dye their hair blue, which is bizarre when you think about it! May as well get a tattoo with that blue rinse granny?
(My mum wants a tat, but now I just get her the good fake ones from Bangkok.)
Anyway, I asked DarLek why the hair change, as she kept thumping me and saying, "Ask me why?"
"Why?" (Ouch.)
"Because Paa (her sister) said if I had red hair same as girls Cowboy you not go there anymore without me, also tomorrow the man comes."
"What Man?"
"To put in pole here." (She points to the end of our bed.)
With that she thumped me one last time, squealed with glee at her own sense of humour, and ran out to buy Som Tum!
