Do I Know You?

Never had I seen such beauty, elegance and poise.
I smiled at you, you smiled at me.
While Bon Jovey supplied the noise.

I wanted you then like I want you now
But I know it can never be so
The moment I saw you I knew I was lost
Oh God, I'm in love with a 'ho?

I can't ask you to change
I can't ask you a thing
I can only buy some of your time
A short time, a long time
There's no time to know you
I think that I'm losing my mind.

You can't help me, you're working
But I know that you like me
Your body can't hide what you feel.
When you love me, you love me
I know that you do,
Your kisses just taste so real.

I know I'm a fool
But you've stolen my heart
I'm lost like a child in the night.
Hold me and kiss me and love me again
In the morning I might be alright.

I know what you mean but this just sounds strange coming from you.

Stumbly, but nice. I have a policy of endorsing all attempts at poetry. This one makes you rewrite as you are reading so you have to reread again the author's way. A good thing. I would love to be able to rewire all humans so that everything had to be read at least twice. By the time I hit the SEND button on something I have written I have read the piece at least 5-10 times. Sometimes with long difficult pieces I might have had to read and reread 20-25 times. Requiring the reader to read twice does not seem too demanding.
