To Namtai, on reading my poetry

It’s just a stance –
I didn’t do
the things I wrote about
or screw all those girls!
I’m not a monger!
(at least I’m not one
any longer; like Stick
I bid that scene adieu).
But like a gogo girl’s tattoo
it gives my poetry streetcred too
making it grittier and stronger –
it’s just a stance!
I didn’t break any taboo
or shag a ladyboy or two,
go up the ass
or take them younger than 18
to satisfy my hunger:
none of what you read is true –
it’s just a stance!
Honest!
