Shall I compare thee to a Summer's day?
Thou art more lovely and more temperate:
Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,
And Summer's lease hath all too short a date...
Shakespeare
Shall I compare thee to my girl in Thailand? -
She is nineteen while you are forty-two,
So it’s not fair, I know, and in this island,
Feminism works against you too:
She likes to feed me, shower me and clothe me,
Iron my shirts, put toothpaste on my brush.
But here, I feel that many women loathe me,
And even you neglect me in the rush
Of your career; your busy way of life -
Don’t get me wrong, I really do believe that
We two should be equals - but as my wife
I need more passion from you to achieve that.
Comparisons like this can but betray:
I love you both - each in a different way.
