My interest in Thailand started when I was stationed in Bangkok with the US Army during the Vietnam War. Working for two years as a Military Policeman in Bangkok developed my appreciation for living in Thailand and my intention to do so. My military career provided opportunities for me to travel and work in Thailand throughout the 80’s. After retiring from the military I returned to Thailand and worked as a university instructor. I lived in Thailand for nearly 12 years. During that period I started writing about living in Thailand for the entertainment of friends in the United States and Southeast Asia. Bangkok Books published a short handbook I created, Sex ,Lies and Bar Fines, which was originally written for the entertainment of friends. I am currently living and working in the United States. When I retire again I plan to return to Thailand and rejoin the fun my friends, many of them ex-military, are still enjoying in the Land of Smiles.
