Sam Atlee attended Duke University and the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop. He was a Peace Corps volunteer in Tunisia and worked throughout Asia for The Wall Street Journal. In 2002 he published a collection of stories, Men at Risk. His short fiction has been published in literary magazines, and he’s received a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. He is the father of three children and a grandfather of two, so far. His wife is from Chaiyaphum, and he has traveled throughout Thailand many times.
