Thoughts On turning Sixty or Why is the Rice Cooker Never Turned Off?
Julian, July 24, 2008
I’m sixty tomorrow and I don’t want to be.
I never wanted to be thirty, forty or fifty either. Twenty was OK, it was like a rite of passage along with the first car, the first serious girlfriend and getting laid for the first time.

Backpackers – What’s that all about?
sisterray, December 3, 2007
I recently decided to embark on an expedition to the backpacker island of Ko Phangnan. My purpose was to study the modern day backpacker in their natural environment. It was quite a mission. Having returned I feel not unlike the intrepid anthropologists studying cannibals in the depths of Papua New Guinea. I managed to escape from the scene with my life, albeit with a nasty taste in the mouth.

KoKred - Bangkok's Hidden Gem.
alisterbredee, February 5, 2006
This 10 kilometer square island is a delight. There are no cars and the roads are narrow concrete strips splayed out around the island. The only traffic is an occasional motorbike or bicycle. What bliss, a stone?s thrown from Bangkok, a city that is being strangled by the motor vehicle.
