I miss drinking. I consider the fermented drink one of mankind's greatest inventions. On St. John I used to start the day by going over to the Chinese wagon at 10:30 a.m. and getting a johnny cake and a Heiniken (greenie). Drink all day until around midnight. Never a headache or a side effect. So hot you could see the beer come right out through your forearms. And hard stuff--gin and vodka? Used to love a sipping drink.

There is something wrong with my body now and I can not drink but I sure do miss it. Getting older stinks.
